On Saturday 28th April, Walter Rose & Son customers were treated to a day of Michelin-starred cookery demos and a book-signing of Well Seasoned in the Sidmouth Street shop.



Acclaimed chef Russell Brown took to his induction hobs in the shop to create some mouth-watering canapes encouraging the reader to cook and eat with the seasons.



Spring lamb with lemon and ricotta, Medieval beltane cakes, asparagus and prosciutto and pigeon were all on the menu as customers visited the brilliant deli and butchers shop to stock-up on their weekly culinary delights.


Fourth generation Director of Walter Rose & Son Jack Cook stated


“It’s always good to get inspiration to cook with seasonal ingredients and having Russell and Jon cooking and signing books in the shop today did just that. It was great to see people of all ages interacting with our literary guests and trying new flavours and seasonal ingredients.”
