Walter Rose & Son was founded in 1847 and four generations of the Cook family have been butchers in the Wiltshire market town of Devizes.
Led by Steve Cook since the 1970s, eight family members now form the core of the business.
Our fully skilled, superb staff ensure that all cuts are produced with care. We only work by hand using butchery skills passed down through generations. We choose not to operate a production-line approach with semi-skilled workers, but instead train each team member to the highest level. All of our manufactured products – including sausages and burgers – are produced in-house to our own recipes with both the highest integrity and highest quality raw ingredients.
We strive to offer the best meat that is available anywhere, produced by local farmers and suppliers that we know and trust.
