Butchery Master Classes
The Walter Rose & Son Master Class is designed to give you a better understanding about the way we source our meat, and give you the opportunity to learn some valuable butchery skills.
Each of our classes will last approximately two hours and will be run by our own butchers. Throughout the session you will get a hands on experience – under close supervision – learning basic knife skills as you go. The Master Class will also give you a tour of our cutting plant as well as an insight into how the animals are raised and slaughtered, as well as some of our preferred cooking methods.
At the end of the class you will not only take with you your own Walter Rose & Son apron but also a butcher’s knife and some of the meat you have butchered. On top of this to encourage you to practice your knife skills at home you will also get a 20% discount card to be used in our shops for the 6 weeks following your class.
Places on each course are limited as we want to keep class numbers small, so book as early as possible to secure a place on the course you want to attend. The classes are held at our butchers shop in Devizes and as parts of the Master Class will be taking place in our meat preparation area you need to come suitably dressed. Please therefore come in comfortable warm clothing, making sure you are wearing flat shoes which have a good grip on them.
